Elland Road: Leeds

Elland Road
Capacity: 37,900
One of Yorkshire’s biggest sports stadiums, Elland Road has become synonymous with international Rugby League and will continue to lead the way as the venue for the 2011 Four Nations Final.
History
The home of Leeds United has staged nine internationals since it hosted its first Rugby League international in 1985 when Great Britain drew with New Zealand 6-6.
The stadium hosted the only previous Four Nations final played in the UK back in 2009 when Great Britain lost to Australia by 46-16 in front of over 31,000 spectators. The Tri Nations finals in 2004 and 2005 when Australia and New Zealand each won the tournaments, were also played at the venue.
Domestically, Elland Road has been used for an array of matches down the years from the 1938 all Leeds Championship Final to World Club Challenge encounters in recent years.
Local side Hunslet Rugby League Club also used the stadium as its base in the 1980s.
