2009

2009 – Winners Australia
After a three year gap the tournament returned in a new guise with the addition of France in 2009. The tournament was largely based on the concept of the Tri Nations. France and England competed for the first time – England replacing Great Britain.
Australia and England advanced through to the final after finishing the first and second respectively in the group.
The Kangaroos showed their quality in the final defeating hosts England by 46-16 at Elland Road, Leeds.
